Susan Catherine Veinot

September 2, 1957 - March 27, 2020

Susan Catherine Veinot, age 62, of South Kingstown, Rhode Island, passed away on March 27, 2020, at Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence after a long battle with lung cancer.

Born in Worcester, Massachusetts, Susan was the daughter of Catherine and Eugene Veinot. She leaves behind her children Amie Hagan of Somersworth, New Hampshire, Josh Richard of Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Justin Richard of Traverse City, Michigan, Morgan Tavares of Woonsocket, Rhode Island, and Adrian White of York, Maine. She is survived by her brother David Germain of Grafton, Massachusetts.

Susan was a proud single mother who provided for her family. She always found a way to make holidays happen, got her kids into after school activities, and put food on the table. She was active raising her family and enjoyed cooking, painting, gardening, and playing the guitar. She loved nature, singing, dancing, and studying the bible. Susan loved nature and was very fond of wolves and horses.

She will be missed by the many people she touched and will be forever remembered for how she always found a way to keep going no matter what life threw at her.

Services will be private.

Please accept my sympathy on the death of Susan. I never met her.
My name is Diane O’Connor Russ. I understand Susan’s mother Catherine was my father’s sister. My father was James R. O’Connor.

Please accept our sincere condolences on the death of Susan. We reconnected with her a few years back after being away from New England for over 30 years.

My wife Therese and she delved deeply together into Veinot and O’Connor family Geneology. That seemed to give Susan deep peace.

When we found out how sick she became after her brother Steve’s death, we prayed and asked hundreds of other people to pray for her. And we continue to pray for you and your families.

    Your cousin,

John J. Boucher [son of Mary (O’Connor) Boucher, your great aunt]
